This blog was started, and is intended to illustrate that environmentalism happens through small acts, is not difficult, and that it does not always have to be some big life changing event that forces you to live in the tree tops with no electricity. All that being said, one of my small acts was to start this blog to gain some friends to help me save the world.

Half as good, maybe even better

Just a quick thank you to someone very dear to me who has recently jumped on the "tearing your paper towel in half" band wagon.  This may seem nuts to some people, but it makes a big difference, not only to me but to the planet (and our wallets).  And yes we already use the half sheet towels, so really we are making them quarter sized.  Yay go us.  And that is sort of the point of all my rants, I mean insightful writing, that small things count and add up.  So if you want, try it (come on all the cool kids are doing it).  Use half of your paper towel, it will be more rewarding than you think.  And do not forget to have some Leftover  Love when you go out to eat.  OK will keep this entry short.  Keep saving the world.  And thank your France Nipper!!!

  1. I am still stuck on the paper towel habit too!! We have switched to using a brown recycled and unbleached towel from I forget who. I will go check, just a second. Okay I am back. They are Seventh Generation towels. The thing is, because they are brown, it sort of makes you stop and think before you use them. Someday we will get off of the habit but then we will have to use electricity and water to wash them. LOL :)
