This blog was started, and is intended to illustrate that environmentalism happens through small acts, is not difficult, and that it does not always have to be some big life changing event that forces you to live in the tree tops with no electricity. All that being said, one of my small acts was to start this blog to gain some friends to help me save the world.

Also if you have not already, please go ahead and sign the petition.  It only takes a few seconds.

Petition Signatures

Please sign the petition, as well as pass it along to anyone you think who may be willing to help.  This petition really is about the individual making a change and forcing the restaurants to follow.  Please help.
Thanks.

Leftover Love and Earth Day

Well my latest crazy idea may just be completely insane, but I thought it was worth a try.  So are you ready for it.  I wanted to capitalize on Earth Day (in April), try and get some sponsors, have some containers made with the sponsors listed on said containers, distribute them to restaurants to hand out on Earth Day, wait there is more, then get those restaurants to participate in my super awesome Leftover Love incentive program, and then we save the world.  OK so maybe that last part was a bit dramatic.  But still think it is a good idea.  Now I guess the question is, can I pull it off?  Who knows, but I have to try right.  So I will keep you posted.  And if there is anyone out there who has some suggestions or ways to help, please let me know.

Half as good, maybe even better

Just a quick thank you to someone very dear to me who has recently jumped on the "tearing your paper towel in half" band wagon.  This may seem nuts to some people, but it makes a big difference, not only to me but to the planet (and our wallets).  And yes we already use the half sheet towels, so really we are making them quarter sized.  Yay go us.  And that is sort of the point of all my rants, I mean insightful writing, that small things count and add up.  So if you want, try it (come on all the cool kids are doing it).  Use half of your paper towel, it will be more rewarding than you think.  And do not forget to have some Leftover  Love when you go out to eat.  OK will keep this entry short.  Keep saving the world.  And thank your France Nipper!!!
